After a long break, I'm back to weaving on the bardek. To warm up, I made a short selvedge – it's only 5.5 m long 😉 Even though I'm not used to it, it's quite dense.

Just last year I wove two woolen selvedges for friends so they could sew historical clothes. The first one has nicely matched colors, because I didn’t choose them 😉 The gray with red looks great. From making a selvedge to publishing its image sometimes leads a long way. Through the forests of photographs… I was so happy that my camera took pictures almost by itself. Lately I only corrected the frame (and even that is not always) and the size. This time it was different. Red wool has always been difficult for me. I even suspected that maybe I was seeing this one wrong…
This is the second series of brown stripes. The number of threads and the arrangement are the same as before. The patterns are different, because I try never to repeat myself. It's a waste of time, and there are so many ideas. Weaving from coarse yarn is laborious and a bit off-putting. The effect is quite interesting, so that's the only reason I didn't throw the wool in the farthest corner, so...

Do you have any ideas on how to make your back not hurt so much from weaving?
Ah, life changes – moving and acclimatizing to a new place.
Unfortunately, the only idea I can think of is to ignore the pain. Strong passion allows for that. But it's true that a better solution would be useful. You have to take care of your muscles so that they are strong, but relaxed at the same time.
I don't like exercising, but maybe I should try to introduce some choreography into the weaving process 😉
I guess so 🙂 I don't like exercises either..
the pain can be ignored up to a certain point 🙂 then inflammation sets in and things are not rosy 😀
