Buttons – haberdashery for reenactors

My latest tailoring exploits are late medieval men's clothing – doublet, cothehardie, robe… For this occasion I made a few handfuls of typical haberdashery accessories 🙂

In the Middle Ages, in addition to buttons cast from metal, textile buttons were used, i.e. those made from a piece of fabric. And it's no wonder - such buttons are also used today, although not very often.

The buttons are made of: a disc of thin linen fabric, a small brass disc, a ball of cotton wool (fortunately available) and a piece of thread.

Keep counting until you get higher pay.

  • The haberdashery

Apparently there are those who are waiting for me to finally write something. What's more, it's not just one person 😉 I've managed to do quite a lot lately, and the excess of activities hasn't overwhelmed me at all. I'm actually overjoyed that I have a lot of work - but that's probably because of the effects. I can brazenly and immodestly boast that I've started a business. From the beginning...
