Second green series

I finished the green yarn, and the yarn finished me. This time I didn't touch up the colors, so that you could compare how I see these selvedges and how the camera sees them šŸ˜‰ The warp is the same as in the case of the brown selvedges. So this series is a bit wider than the previous green ones. The swastikas fit in elegantly. I also went a step further in the variations...

Brown series again

This is the second series of brown stripes. The number of threads and the arrangement are the same as before. The patterns are different, because I try never to repeat myself. It's a waste of time, and there are so many ideas. Weaving from coarse yarn is laborious and a bit off-putting. The effect is quite interesting, so that's the only reason I didn't throw the wool in the farthest corner, so...

It provides comfort above all – even distribution of the warp tension šŸ˜‰ So, to weave on a backstrap, you need a backstrap, which is best woven on a backstrap šŸ˜› And if you don’t have a backstrap, too bad – you have to use…

Warm Browns, continued

I tried not to try – it came out as usual… It was supposed to be a loose selvedge, made quickly and along the path of least resistance. Hm. Now I have concerns that my perverse plan to weave a ā€œflakā€ for people who value price, not quality, will not come to fruition. When I started weaving, my selvedges were not that strong, why!? ;P The selvedge is…

Warm browns

I present a variation on the find from Ostrówek in Opole. I chose a harmonious color scheme of warm browns. I modified the pattern, leaving the grosgrain weave in the middle. The rows are tightly compressed, so the selvedge is quite stiff and solid, and it came out wider than I expected for the number of threads in the warp (3.4 cm). I managed to break the length record and came out 8.6 m….
