Pasamo... with passion
I worked on this border for quite a long time, but it's finally here. I finished it in Ląd. I'm only posting about it now, because I couldn't handle the photo. It's hopeless anyway... but let others take care of photography 😀
The length is 8.7 m and the width is 2.8 cm. The material is a nice yarn made from a mixture of real sheep wool and acrylic 😉 Of course, as usual, I made it using a bardek.

Recently I have created a lot of simpler selvedges, but I have also made a few spun ones. They all have patterns from finds and are in the form of stripes. Plain weave, picking technique, and the raw material is wool. As part of testing a new weaving technique on the inkle loom, a lot of meters of selvedge were created. The technique is fast, hence the name of the post. As I wrote, that's what I did. The red (i.e. cherry) selvedge with a gold (i.e. yellow) pattern is ready. It's supposedly made of a more plastic yarn (75% wool from acrylic sheep), but it turned out to be more atmospheric - it's a bit rough to the touch... or maybe fuzzy. The previous, woolen 50% was woven as if from plastic bags ;P It turned out that the maximum possibilities of the current...
Again, I'm quite behind on writing. That's because, for an unemployed person, I've had a lot of work lately ;P I present the selvedges that I made especially for the Wielewit team. Patterns and colors reserved 😀 The selvedge on the left is 2.2 cm wide and 6.5 m long - it was originally 12.8 m, but it was cut off. At the back lies a selvedge that is 2.5 cm wide...
I tried not to try – it came out as usual… It was supposed to be a loose selvedge, made quickly and along the path of least resistance. Hm. Now I have concerns that my perverse plan to weave a “flak” for people who value price, not quality, will not come to fruition.
