Eastern style selvedges
Today I won’t hide my pride in the woven selvedges 🙂 The impulse to get down to work came from Jadobra, who wanted a belt with S-straps. She sent me a few photos with the selvedges selected and said: copy them. Unfortunately, I don’t know the author of the originals – as soon as I find out who they are, I’ll definitely add them. Edit: I received information that…
The color of the sea... I mean salmon
When you have leftover materials at your disposal, you can create such "miracles": The selvedge is made of cotton cord. It is 3 cm wide and 2.3 m long. I finished it with fringes on both sides. It is pleasant to the touch and quite stiff. I will boldly put it this way: it is showy 😉
Many-witted
Again, I'm quite behind on writing. That's because, for an unemployed person, I've had a lot of work lately ;P I present the selvedges that I made especially for the Wielewit team. Patterns and colors reserved 😀 The selvedge on the left is 2.2 cm wide and 6.5 m long - it was originally 12.8 m, but it was cut off. At the back lies a selvedge that is 2.5 cm wide...

Opole Krajka

The number of threads in the warp is identical to the original, but my yarn is thicker, so the selvedge is also wider - instead of 2.5 cm it is 3.2 cm. Plain-grosgrain weave. Length 7.7…
For the father of the director
I don't like this selvedge (for many reasons), so I'm making an alternative one now... But I don't know if the director will like the second one 😉 (width 2.8 cm, length 7.25 m)
Colorful... very colorful
I am not happy with the photo, because the camera, as usual, had its own opinion about the colors. I struggled a bit, then I wondered if there was any point in publishing any of the photos at all, and now I decided to show this: I repeat, I am not a photographer 🙂 You could say that this series of selvedges was created because of an itchy visual organ. Nothing so…

I really like the second one. I like the black and red combination, and the pattern is great.
Great post. I'll definitely be here more often.
