for Seweryn

In Ląd, it finally dawned on me that it would be necessary to take care of Seweryn's historical clothes. It is obvious that a shoemaker walks without shoes, but this cannot be transferred to his loved ones. A shirt that I sewed last year required particularly quick intervention - a new shirt, but without trims, with scabbed (oh, the spell checker knows this word) edges.

I wove a narrow (1.8 cm) border from thin yarn. I didn't skimp on the hem, because out of the total of 6.4 m there was a little over a meter left. The effect looks something like this:

The hem of the shirt is a surprise and a secret. I sewed it while Seweryn was at work. Then I hid it in the closet, which we don't usually look into. Unfortunately, Seweryn took something out of it the next day, but luckily he didn't notice the shirt... I think. Today he went on extra duty, so I took pictures. On blogger, the secret is safe 😉

Yesterday I also sewed linen trousers, and today I think I will manage to sew another one – from thin wool.

103.1 m of selvedges – hooray, I've crossed the hundred mark 🙂
