I present another lost border. The original comes from Ostrówek, Opole, and is dated to the 4th quarter of the 11th century and the beginning of the 12th century.
I used factory yarn, 100% wool. The number of threads in the warp is identical to the original, but my yarn is thicker so the selvedge is wider - instead of 2.5 cm it is 3.2 cm. Plain-grosgrain weave. Length 7.7 m.

I wove it on an inkle loom "new method". I have a certain observation - the warp threads in places where they create a grosgrain weave, i.e. they are next to each other and not separated by the rungs of the bard (after all, I used a harness) have a tendency to change places or overlap. At first, I tried not to let them do this and positioned them in the right places with each weft change. I also tried to separate the warp somehow to "shoot out" the threads. The solution came by itself when I gave up at some point. During weaving, over a distance of about 10 cm, all the threads in the grosgrain weave changed places and consistently remained in their positions until the end.
