Plum border with something green

Another selvedge has a photo 🙂

This is probably the longest of my selvedges – it is 10.65 m long. The width is 2.7 cm. The pattern is a combination of a zigzag and a herringbone. In the background and on the edges you can see dots, which came out by using a lighter thread.

I'm almost afraid to use this word, because uncle Google will start referring Pokemon hunters or collectors to my blog. Fortunately, I don't have a phobia about it - I remember that there was some cartoon with funny creatures, but the wave didn't take me. • Express selvedges

As part of testing a new weaving technique on the inkle loom, a lot of meters of selvedge were created. The technique is fast, hence the name of the post. I wrote about it in the post Express weaving. All the selvedges are about 2 cm wide, and most of them are about 8 m long. Made from a mixture of wool from acrylic and traditional sheep. To tell the truth, it's a pity...

The rows are tightly compressed, so the selvedge is quite stiff and solid, and it came out wider than I expected for the number of threads in the warp (3.4 cm). I managed to break the length record and came out 8.6 m….
