This is probably the longest of my selvedges – it is 10.65 m long. The width is 2.7 cm. The pattern is a combination of a zigzag and a herringbone. In the background and on the edges you can see dots, which came out by using a lighter thread.

Today I present woven stripes from coarse woolen tapestry yarn. I made 2 stripes with solar signs to order. From the remaining warp, a strip with a simple braid was created, 1.9 m long and 3.5 cm wide. 60.9 m of selvedge2:19 driving time28 km distance

I present a variation on the find from Ostrówek in Opole. I chose a harmonious color scheme of warm browns. I modified the pattern, leaving the grosgrain weave in the middle. The rows are tightly compressed, so the selvedge is quite stiff and solid, and it came out wider than I expected for the number of threads in the warp (3.4 cm). I managed to break the length record and came out 8.6 m….
