Warm Browns, continued

I tried not to try – it turned out as usual…
It was supposed to be a loose selvedge, made quickly and with the least resistance. Hmm. Now I'm worried that my perverse plan to weave a "flak" for people who value price, not quality, won't come to fruition. When I started weaving, my selvedges weren't that strong, why!? ;P

The selvedge is quite narrow – 2.4 cm. It would be good for hemming a garment, or wrapping legs… or whatever you imagine. It is 8.5 m long.

The material crisis has passed with the arrival of a full bundle of yarn. The colors will now be quite natural, and the selvedges will be difficult, because the wool is hard and rough. If so, I will make it more difficult and make the selvedges very patterned. I only wonder what my hands will look like after working through the whole bundle – maybe I will find a way to make the most effective peeling in the world. Each…

From making a selvedge to publishing its image sometimes leads a long way. Through the forests of photographs… I was so happy that my camera took pictures almost by itself. Lately I only corrected the frame (and even that is not always) and the size. This time it was different. Red wool has always been difficult for me. I even suspected that maybe I was seeing this one wrong…

  • Brown series again

This is the second series of brown stripes. The number of threads and the arrangement are the same as before. The patterns are different, because I try never to repeat myself. It's a waste of time, and there are so many ideas. Weaving from coarse yarn is laborious and a bit off-putting. The effect is quite interesting, so that's the only reason I didn't throw the wool in the farthest corner, so...

I'm almost afraid to use this word, because uncle Google will start referring Pokemon hunters or collectors to my blog. Fortunately, I don't have a phobia about it - I remember that there was some cartoon with funny creatures, but the wave didn't take me. Actually, neither of the two waves: delight and mocking criticism. I won't describe the genesis of the selvedge,…
