Pasamo... with passion
Recently I have created a lot of simpler selvedges, but I have also made a few spun ones. They all have patterns from finds and are in the form of stripes. Plain weave, picking technique, and the raw material is wool. I had additional trouble with the first selvedge – I wove it on a yoke loom at shows in variable conditions 🙂

From making a selvedge to publishing its image sometimes leads a long way. Through the forests of photographs… I was so happy that my camera took pictures almost by itself. I present another selvedge. The original comes from Ostrówek in Opole and is dated to the 4th quarter of the 11th century and the beginning of the 12th century. I used factory yarn, 100% wool. The number of threads in the warp is identical to the original, but my yarn is thicker, so the selvedge is also wider - instead of 2.5 cm it is 3.2 cm. Plain-grosgrain weave. Length 7.7…
