Dyed purse

The starting material for the dyeing game was a piece of white linen cloth and a linen thread called twine. I measured a circle with a plate, cut it out, hemmed it and rubbed it wet with alum. I bought alum a long time ago in a chemist's in the form of deodorant. I think asking here what I used to dye it is pointless, since the photo clearly suggests that I used onion. I boiled the peels briefly. I threw in the fabric and "boiled covered, stirring constantly" (you can guess where this quote comes from) for about 20 minutes. I rinsed it in water with vinegar. Finally, I just braided a string from the thread and pulled it into the pouch.
Such a small thing but a lot of joy 🙂
I am slowly improving my fitness. Today I rode to Zatom Nowy without much effort. After a tiring ride through the Noteć Forest that I did last week (36 km on sand, gravel, more sand, roots, litter because I rode badly and more sand) today's 30 km on the road... wait, did I actually ride anywhere today, because I can't feel it? 😉 All that remained was the impression of the smell and sound of the May forest and the sight of fields and flowers slowly warming up in the morning sun.

One of thick natural linen, which I trimmed with Opole lace. The other…

  • What the eyes don’t see…

On the day of the publication of the previous post, I was optimistic and full of energy. We enthusiastically started planting the fruit trees we had bought earlier. Unfortunately, our orchard-growing ambitions turned into pseudo-archaeological excavations. What had previously looked like an idyllic, weedy meadow turned out to be an old garbage dump. Bricks from a Romanesque castle, a halberd and a padlock from a chastity belt 😉 We worked quite…

On January 12, I received my diploma. The feeling of happiness at finishing my studies is irreplaceable and wonderful. I was returning from college with a backpack full of originals, copies and supplements, as well as flour at 54 gr per kg... Suddenly, the phone rang, interrupting my audiobook reading. It turned out that I had a job offer. And they say that it's hard to find a job after graduation. After some thought, I declined...

  1. And I lived for a while in Sieraków, and then in Międzychód, but then I wasn't interested in wool or clay handicrafts. Now I am interested, but I live in the Drawsko Lakeland. Best regards.
