Something nice

For me, spring started at the end of January. A larger dose of warm light + wildly chirping sparrows in the form of ruffled balls attached to the hedge. Apparently there were frosts and snow later - I didn't notice. But I finished the border for the Wielewit team. It is 8.5 m long and 3 cm wide. Made of Oliwia, an acrylic-wool yarn. It is very…

  • Krajka in a new place

I started it at the beginning of summer and I wasn’t in any hurry to finish it – I was testing a small inkle loom, which is very handy and a selvedge that has been started doesn’t bother anyone. I was also testing new yarns – new to me, because unfortunately the manufacturer has stopped production. The most important thing is that I finished it in…

  • Express selvedges

As part of testing a new weaving technique on the inkle loom, a lot of meters of selvedge were created. The technique is fast, hence the name of the post. I wrote about it in the post Express weaving. All the selvedges are about 2 cm wide, and most of them are about 8 m long. Made from a mixture of wool from acrylic and traditional sheep. To tell the truth, it's a pity...

  • for Seweryn

In Ląd, it finally dawned on me that it would be necessary to take care of Seweryn's historical clothes. It is obvious that a shoemaker walks without shoes, but this cannot be transferred to his loved ones. A shirt that I sewed last year required particularly quick intervention - a new shirt, but without trims, with scabbed (oh, the spell checker knows this word) edges...
