Pasamo... with passion
I present a variation on the find from Ostrówek in Opole. I chose a harmonious color scheme of warm browns. I modified the pattern, leaving the grosgrain weave in the middle. The rows are tightly compressed, so the selvedge is quite stiff and solid, and it came out wider than I expected for the number of threads in the warp (3.4 cm). I managed to break the length record and came out 8.6 m….
As I wrote, that's what I did. The red (i.e. cherry) selvedge with a gold (i.e. yellow) pattern is ready. It's supposedly made of a more plastic yarn (75% wool from acrylic sheep), but it turned out to be more atmospheric - it's a bit rough to the touch... or maybe fuzzy. The previous, woolen 50% was woven as if from plastic bags ;P It turned out that the maximum possibilities of the current...
The little tenants are flourishing. It's grey outside, but it's quite nice inside. They match the pink walls, huehue... yeah... Hyacinths have the right to be this colour, the walls will have to be covered with something 😉 But anyway, the first flowering in the new apartment is done 🙂
I don't like this selvedge (for many reasons), so I'm making an alternative one now... But I don't know if the director will like the second one 😉 (width 2.8 cm, length 7.25 m)
After a break related to a trip to Beijing 😉 and smaller matters, I finished weaving on a wound warp. Today I took poor photos, but I and the camera are the best we can do – correcting the colors in Photoshop didn’t help either. Only the pattern is correct 🙂 Each of the selves is a bit over 4 cm wide. The lengths are as follows: 2.25 m, 1.6…
