Ribbon for hems – green

Description

Narrow ribbon made of thin, delicate to the touch merino wool yarn. Woven on the shoulder in plain weave - a simple tool and traditional technique.

It is suitable for hemming thin fabrics, e.g. linen dresses and shirts. It is quite resistant to shrinkage during washing if sewn to the fabric – I tested it with intensive use.

A simple pattern of longitudinal stripes appeared in some historical selvedges.

I recommend gentle washing at low temperature. Machine washable on the appropriate program.
